Valentine Peanut Delight

It has long been my feeling with Mac's love of Reeces Peanut Butter Cups that we should have taken stock out in the company. I have been perfecting this recipe for some time now.  As luck would have it, I sent Mac out to the store this morning for chocolate chips, hot fudge sauce and ice cream but, with his shift work I had lost all track of what day of the week it was.  It's Sunday folks and German stores aren't open on Sunday. You will have to use your imagination.
This recipe is so easy that even you men can make it for your sweetheart!
Here it is.
1 16.5 oz Pillsbury Sugar cookie dough (for my friends who prefer to make their own any garden variety sugar cookie recipe will do)
1 box of any brownie mix
1 cup of graham cracker crumbs(European friends can substitute crushed digestive biscuits)
1 cup peanut butter (200 grams)
3/4 cup butter (150 grams)
1egg
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup peanut butter (100 grams)
1 cup of peanuts (150 grams)
1 cup of milk chocolate chip morsels (150 grams)
Hot fudge sauce

Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Firmly press your sugar cookie dough into a 13 by 9-inch pan. (ungreased)
In a large mixing bowl, stir in your dry brownie mix and graham cracker crumbs.  Mix well and set aside.
Now place 1 cup peanut butter in a microwavable bowl along with the 3/4 cup butter. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute. Take it out of microwave and stir until smooth.  Add this mixture to your brownie mixture. Stir well and then add an egg.  Mix this so all of the mixture is wet and can be pressed into your pan over the top of your cookie dough.
In another bowl mix your condensed milk with 1/2 cup peanut butter. Microwave for one minute and stir until smooth.  Pour this mixture over brownie layer. Sprinkle the remaining nuts and milk chocolate chips over this layer.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes (do not overbake)  Cool completely in pan for 2 hours or if you prefer serve warm with a drizzle of hot fudge sauce and a scoop of ice cream.

Now I know you all have great imaginations. Pretend you see a scoop of icecream and the entire dessert drizzled with a lovely hot fudge sauce.
Happy Valentine's Day my friends!

My sweetheart gave it a thumbs up but was very disappointed our dish didn't contain the milk chocolate chips, ice cream or hot fudge......next year honey....next year.
Hmmmm tomorrow?  How about avocado's?
